Last year I had a workshop on blogging during institute at the beginning of school. I was not very "into" it, and I did not learn anything. When Kelly asked me about coming to this workshop, I was like "UH." Then we came to the podcasting workshop last Thursday with Mr. Bob Wakeman. It was great!!! I have looked forward to the blogging workshop ever since.
I like to learn something new everyday. I also like to learn new methods to use in my classrooms. (My students never know what will happen when they enter through the doors of my classroom. I like to "keep 'em guessing.") With blogs and podcasting, we can have a lot of fun while learning at the same. Oh No!!!! learning is not supposed to be fun. Who knows what new information might actually take up residence in the junior and senior minds I teach. They might actually retain some of the information. Hands-on instruction is a very big part of my curriculum, and technology is a very big part of my students' lives. These two techniques will bring the two together, and hopefully make learning more meaningful, and dare I say it, FUN!!!
